How long does a typical photoshoot take?
Our shoot length varies by the services scheduled. Please note all shoot lengths are estimates. Shoots might take longer or shorter then expected, but we will always try and communicate the timeline when we are on site.
- Basic Shoot ~ 45 minutes
- Standard Shoot ~ 1 hour
- Deluxe Shoot ~ 1 hour 30 minutes
- Video Shoot ~ 1 to 2 hours
- Essentials Bundle ~ 2 hours
- Luxury Bundle ~ 2 to 4 hours
- Social Media Bundle ~ 1 hour 30 minutes
- Drone add on ~ Plus 25 minutes
- Floor Plan add on ~ Plus 1 hour
- Virtual Tour (3D) add on ~ Plus 1 to 2 hours
- Community/Neighborhood Photos ~ 45 minutes
- Twilight add on ~ Plus 1 hour
- Social Media add on ~ Plus 1 hour
- Additional Photoshopping ~ Does not add time on site but may increase photo turn around time.
Do you offer same-day or rush delivery?
Yes, expedited delivery is available upon request for an additional fee. Contact us for availability.
How long does it take to receive the photos?
We do our best to deliver all photos on a 24 hour timeline from when the shoot ended.
How will I receive the photos and videos?
You will receive a custom property website including all of your photos from you listing. Here you can share the website with your client, add the site your MLS listing or download the photos. You can download the photos in full or MLS resolution.
How should I prepare my property for the photo shoot?
We have a full guide Essential Tips for Preparing Your Home for Photos detailing how you should prepare your listing. But at minimum we recommend cleaning and decluttering the property, turning on all of the lights, opening the blinds/shades and keeping all people, pets and guests out of the way.
How do I book a photography session?
You can book a shoot directly though our easy to use online portal or by giving us a call at (805) 232-3442
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
We require 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee. See our full terms for details.
Do I need to be present during the shoot?
No, as long as we have access to a lock box, door code or someone to let us in you do not need to be present.
Can I schedule multiple properties in one day?
Absolutely. We can accommodate multi-property days depending on location and shoot requirements.
Do you offer aerial drone photography?
Yes, we do. We are talented drone pilots and FAA Certified.
Do you offer video tours?
Yes, we do! We currently offer videos in one and three-minute packages as well as several social media-specific options.
Do you shoot rental properties or Airbnb listings?
Yes, we regularly work with short-term rental hosts and property managers to create high-converting visuals.
Do you photograph commercial properties or construction sites?
Yes, we offer commercial and architectural photography tailored for builders, developers, and marketing teams.
Can you provide virtual tours?
We are proud to offer our brand new virtual tour (3d) package. We offer tours in both Matterport and Zillow 3D.
I don't see the services I need. Do you offer custom solutions?
We are always happy to cater to custom projects. Just reach out over the phone at (805) 232-3442 or by email to [email protected] and we will see what we can do for you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We are partnered with Square so we accept most major Credit and Debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB or Union pay. We also accept digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay. We are also happy to accept good old fashion cash.
Do you have any special offers or discounts?
We occasionally run promotions and offer discounts for bulk bookings. Please subscribe to our newsletter or contact us for the latest offers.
What if I don't want a property website. Is there another way to access my photos?
If you are not interested in a property website, please just let us know. We are more then happy to deliver the photos though Google Drive to your email.
What if the weather is bad on the day of the shoot?
We can reschedule only if the weather significantly impacts shoot quality. Overcast days are still great for interior work.
Can you re-edit or retouch photos later?
Yes, additional editing services are available if you need sky replacements, object removal, or other adjustments.
Who owns the photos?
BK Captured retains copyright, but you receive a marketing license for use in selling or promoting the property.
Can I use the photos for print advertising or billboards?
Yes, our license covers marketing use. Let us know if you need high-resolution files for print or outdoor.
